About
Tim Beveridge’s career spans broadcasting, live performance, and event leadership, unified by a long-standing focus on communication, connection, and presence.
He is a familiar voice to New Zealand audiences as the host of The Weekend Collective on Newstalk ZB, the country’s largest talk radio station. Broadcasting live each weekend, Tim leads wide-ranging conversations across politics, health, finance, property, parenting, and culture, interviewing current and former Prime Ministers, business leaders, scientists, academics, creatives, and everyday New Zealanders.
Before entering broadcasting, Tim was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor to the High Court of New Zealand. He later pursued a career in musical theatre, performing leading roles in major productions including The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, Evita, Sunset Boulevard, and Jesus Christ Superstar, and was twice a finalist in the BBC Voice of Musical Theatre.
Alongside his performance career, Tim has worked extensively as a concert producer, conductor, and arranger, conceiving and delivering large-scale live events with major orchestras across New Zealand. His productions combine artistic leadership with the practical demands of managing complex live environments.
Across radio, stage, and conferences, Tim brings clarity, warmth, and authority to live settings — guiding conversations, reading rooms, and ensuring events run smoothly while keeping audiences engaged.
